| Information for attendees who cannot book a hotel room in Leonberg In the evenings, we will take attendees with hotel rooms in the city to the subway station Stuttgart-Vaihingen by bus. The station is well connected to the city and to the Max Planck Institute through public transport. Several hotels are also within walking distance of the subway station. |

The above special rates are valid until April 10th 2024 and will be applied to 70 blocked rooms, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. More rooms may be available at this rate, but availability is not guaranteed.

Attendees who book their hotel room through this link will receive a free electronic ticket for the public transport in the Stuttgart region for the duration of the conference.

Travel
1) Travel to Stuttgart
- by train to Stuttgart central station
Stuttgart is well connected to the German train network. For information please visit the Deutsche Bahn website.
Attendees of the conference are encouraged to choose the more environmentally friendly method of transport and take the train when possible. Tickets for the high speed train ICE will be available at a reduced rate. More details will be provided at the beginning of 2024.
- by air to Stuttgart Airport
Stuttgart Airport is one of the most modern in Europe. 39 airlines fly to around 110 destinations in 32 countries, around 7 million passengers used this connection to Stuttgart in 2022. For information visit the airport website. People flying from European countries might find this option convenient, as there are many low-cost flights in and out of the Stuttgart airport. People flying from non-European countries might consider available strategic connections through other European hubs such as Frankfurt, Munich, or Amsterdam. From Frankfurt Airport there is an hour-long train connection to the center of Stuttgart, which is very practical.
2) Travel from Stuttgart Airport or Stuttgart central station to the conference hotel
The conference hotel is located about 10 km outside of Stuttgart. A convenient way to reach the conference hotel is by public transport. Note: Booking the hotel room through the booking link provided above, will include a free ticket for the public transport in the Stuttgart region for the duration of the conference.
- From Stuttgart Airport
From the airport, attendees can take the bus X60 (direction Rotebühlplatz) to the station “Leonberg Altstadt” (travel time about 30 min.), from where it is a 10-min-long walk to the conference hotel.
- From Stuttgart central station
From the central station, attendees can take the local commuter train S6 (direction “Weil der Stadt”, travel time about 25 min) to the station “Leonberg”, from where it is a 15-min-long walk to the conference hotel.
