Two PhD positions on multifunctional materials for soft robotics and wearable devices

Specific objectives of the two PhD projects are:
Project 1 (soft robots with multifunctional artificial muscles)
- Modelling and testing of new concepts of electrostatic artificial muscles
- Design, prototyping, and testing of soft robots (grippers, manipulators, soft displays) based on the developed artificial muscle concepts
- Modelling and control of the developed soft robot prototypes
Project 2 (neural-based control of wearable user interfaces)
- Conceptualisation, modelling and testing of new user interfaces based on electroactive polymers
- Modelling of the interface output and interaction with the user via physics-based, neural-based and hybrid approaches
- Control and user tests
